Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd started her combat sports career at the age of 14. Aspen Ladd trained in BJJ, kickboxing wrestling and boxing before her first appearance as an amateur at WCFC at the age of 18. Ladd was able to take down three opponents consecutively at Ultimate Reno Combat. All of her opponents were defeated within the first minute. In WCFC Ladd was able to defeat Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous vote. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian as well as Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia beat Aspen with a majority vote. This put a stain on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff, and increased her amateur record from 8-1 to 8-1. Aspen made her debut with Invicta FC in 2015 to begin her career as a pro. Invicta eleven saw Aspen take on Ana Carolina Vidal to score an KO early in the round. Invicta 16, she was able to go from Bantamweight to the fight against Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen used her superior wrestling skills to take down McGill and then ended the fight with a the third round TKO(elbows or punches). She next fought Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18 at catchweight(138.1lb) because Ladd did not reach her weight, but Aspen defeated Hoy and finished her off in the second round with a TKO. Invicta FC 28 was her final bout with the club. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks defeated by unanimous verdict. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina by pound-for-pound, and took the TKO round in the second. She continued her dominance and picked up a more impressive victory in her next match against Tonya Evinger in UFC 229. Ladd beat Evinger within the first few seconds and received a bonus for the performance of the night. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes was in the UFC's Fight Night dos Anjos Lee rematch with Sijara's Eubanks, was the first match she had in any major capacity. The two fighters put on a back-and-forth encounter that ended with Ladd triumphing via a unanimous decision and both fighters received their Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd's winning streak with just 16 seconds. in the 3rd round on UFC on ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. In her place, she fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. She lost by unanimous decision.
